2023 SNEAKHER COLLECTION + WISHLIST

At the top of 2022, I decided to share my full sneaker collection + wishlist (blog post link) and felt like it was only right to start 2023 by doing the same thing! This time I want to jump right into what I actually ended up picking up in 2022 as well as the sneakers I am eyeing for 2023.

MY 2022 PICK-UPS

It’s no news that I have a shoe problem, so don’t be alarmed by my list. Let’s cut the small talk and jump right on in to all of my 2022 pick-ups:

1. Brotherhoods (Grade School Link/Men’s Size Link) – Now you know I can’t pass on a purple and gold shoe! At the top of the year, I lucked up on the SNKRS app and copped these initially for my graduation pictures. They ended up not going with my fit, but still glad I have them in my collection.
2. Silver Toes – Y’all already know its 1s gang over here! I’ve been eyeing these for a long time and got lucky on the Tradeblock app that someone was willing to do a trade with me for them. So glad I didn’t have to pay resell prices for these beauties and they were the perfect touch to my grad pictures!
3. Green Dunk Highs – Dunks have obviously been all the rage this year and I really wanted to add a dunk high to my collection. I still haven’t worn them yet (ended up wearing old shoes for Homecoming due to the weather), but
4. Midnight Navy – Unboxed these on my IG stories as soon as I got them, but was lucky enough to get exclusive access twice so I knew it was meant to be! They remind me so much of the Red Velvet 11s that I regret not getting when I worked at Finish Line. I have to watch out for Houston’s crazy weather to make sure I don’t mess the velvet up, but these are FIRE!
5. NOCTA Air Force 1s – Now y’all know I’m a huge Drake fan! This is actually the 2nd pair of NOCTAs I hit on this year, but the NOCTA x Hot Step Air Terra ‘Black University Gold’ were way too narrow for me and I decided to take them back to Nike and get my money back. As far as the NOCTA Air Force 1s, the quality is truly amazing, and love the small touches they added to a timeless shoe.
6. Air Max 1 ’87 – These are actually my first ever Air Max 1s. I love the color combo and the Nike detailing on the heel of the shoes. Tried them on as soon as they came in the mail and they are sooo COMFORTABLE! Can’t wait to actually get some use out of them in the new year.
7. Nike Burrow Slippers – MOST COMFORTABLE SLIPPERS EVER! If you don’t get anything else I recommend get these slippers lol
8. Belugas – The perfect anniversary gift from my baby! I was hurt when I didn’t hit on these, but I can always count on David to come through for ya girl! The 350s are the most comfortable style of Yeezys ever and I wanted to get a different colorway in my collection.
9. Black Foam Runners – These are most likely the finale in my foam runner collection. I don’t own crocs these are my form of crocs, so in my opinion I only needed 2 pairs (the neutral cream color in the picture above and a black) and now I’m all set. Actually copped these on Yeezy Day – my first and last win now that Yeezy and Adidas parted ways…
10. Black Yeezy Slides – Same exact reasoning as the Foam Runners and definitely the last pair I plan on getting. I will see if I grab these more in the New Year since they are just collecting dust in my closet.
11. Turtle Doves – I can’t believe I actually crossed these beauties off my wishlist!!! You know I have to give the long backstory behind these! So I got the call that I hit on the A Ma Maniere 4s with PremiumGoods, picked them up the next day and they were too tight (this is the 2nd time this has happened to me by the way and I’ve only hit twice with PremiumGoods). With me knowing these were a hot release I decided to post them on Tradeblock to see if I could get any possible offers on them. I woke up the next morning to an offer on my shoes for the Turtle Doves in my size + $30 cash! This meant I basically had to pay $13 for shipping and the shoes were mine so it was really a no brainer for me and so happy I got them FINALLY!

2023 SNEAKER WISHLIST (images are clickable links)

As of right now, there is NOTHING on the SKNRS calendar that I’m interested in, and with the Yeezy brand officially off Adidas, the CONFIRMED app has been dryer than the Sahara Desert. I honestly feel like next year I will more so be focusing on shoes I missed out on moreso than new releases. Below are the main sneakers that have caught my eye for the New Year (secretly can’t share them all before some of y’all scoop them from me!):
