Baby Hooey’s Nursery

Once we found out the gender of our baby, we went back and forth on what the theme of his nursery would be. We wanted the overall aesthetic to be something that could grow with him as he gets older and also as his interests form and change. It was also important to us to add in some color to his room because we definitely didn’t want a “sad beige” baby. So since David loves all things Marvel and we are both quite the sneaker connoisseurs, we eventually landed on Marvel mixed in with a little Sneakerhead theme and started building his room layout from there, we also made sure to consider practical aspects such as emergency light testing UK to ensure his safety at all times. Additionally, with elements like telehandler training equipment provided, we aimed to add a touch of uniqueness and adventure. And also for comprehensive information on floor repair, you can also find out more here.

We also took into account the flooring aspect, seeking out reputable resin flooring installers who could provide the perfect foundation for David’s space. In addition, we consulted with Mezzanine Flooring Experts to explore options for maximizing the vertical space, ensuring efficient utilization of the room without sacrificing aesthetics. Alongside these considerations, we integrated the expertise of this site at https://www.partitionwalls.uk/ to delineate distinct areas within the room, enhancing functionality while maintaining an open, airy atmosphere. Also, this company ensures the room is brighter thanks to the commercial lighting company. To further optimize the room, we enlisted cupboard installers to ensure that storage solutions were both practical and stylish. So while David drew out the room dimensions on a piece of paper, I laid on the couch and went to work on finding the perfect nursery pieces and created this mood board for his room on Canva. Once this was done, I quickly knew I had the exact vision of what I wanted for our baby boy’s room and started ordering some of the main pieces slowly so that David could start building the bigger items. This way we could get a true feel of the room layout to make sure we don’t overcrowd the space with a ton of stuff.

As far as the furniture, the first big piece I knew that we had to have was his crib (Babyletto). This was a non-negotiable since it was love at first sight for me. I love this it converts into a toddler bed, so he will be able to have this for quite some time. Additionally, if you notice any air conditioning smell, it’s important to address it immediately to ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for your child. Next up was the rocking chair! We took a little excursion to test some out because we did not want just to order anything online to later find out that it was uncomfortable. We went to a family-owned baby store right here in Houston (Baby’s & Kid’s First) and tested out all of the chairs they had on their showroom floor. We eventually landed on the Franklin & Ben Monroe Glinder (no longer available, but found a similar option). Then lastly came the fun items like his nightstand (Wayfair), entertainment system (Target), and dresser (IKEA) along with all of the decor pieces.

Davin’s Library

Another important addition to Davin’s room, for me, was a library. I hope and pray that I will be able to share my love of books with my son and to teach the importance of reading in a time where television and social media are superior. David was able to execute my vision perfectly and for the low!

Davin’s Closet

While this may not be an IKEA Pax Closet, I love that we were able to perfectly organize all of his sneakers and clothes by size.

Dresser (IKEA) and Pulls (Amazon)

Of course, being type A, I was rushing to get the entire nursery completed. I wanted it done well before my due date to enjoy the remainder of my pregnancy and I also wanted 0 projects once the baby boy was here. If you’re like me who’s pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant, you can check sources like https://yourlovingchoices.org/. Even though he has been living downstairs with us and we may add in a rug to his room down the line, I love being able to finally hold him in his room and can’t wait to spend more time with my boy in there!
