My 2022 Luxury Wishlist

I am a HUGE advocate for black girls deserve luxury. Material things definitely aren’t everything, but it’s nice to treat yourself every once in a while. Let’s normalize getting things you want – after paying all your bills of course. I know that luxury items are not everyone’s cup of tea, so I am not offended if this is just not the post for you but in my mission of staying true to myself, I plan to share my love of all things luxury goods. I’ve had my eyes on a lot of things for a while simply because between closing on the house and wedding planning I haven’t splurged on anything in quite some time. Every year I like to make a luxury wishlist of the things I am eyeing from each brand in order to narrow my choices down and not impulsively shop. I typically only splurge on these types of items – my birthday and Christmas, but now that I’m married and graduation is quickly approaching I am also using this as a hint to my husband for graduation gift ideas (hi babe!). I already purchased my end-of-the-year gift to myself which you guys may have seen on my Instagram (my beautiful LV Large Ring Agenda Cover that I’ve been practically saving and waiting all year to buy).

This may seem like a long list, but I like to just list out all of the things that have caught my eye or attention. I know that I will not get EVERYTHING on this list (I’m blessed but I’m not ballin’ yet lol), but definitely want to share in case anything catches you guys’ eye or could even be possible gift ideas with Christmas being around the corner. BLACK-OWNED

Gotta support my black-owned luxury businesses and there have been 3 brands that I have fallen for over the past year – Teflar, Brandon Blackwood, and Hanifa!

• Teflar Large Pool Blue Shopping Bag (Current Price Point: $257) – Now I know Teflar has been poppin the entire pandemic, but I never pulled the trigger simply because when the reserves were happening with the bags we were spending all of our money on the house and wedding. I’ve been wanting this particular bag for a while simply because I think it would make the perfect travel carry on bag. It’s in my favorite color and I think it would look bomb next to my all black Away luggage.
• Brandon Blackwood Kuei Bag in Brown Shearling & Denim (Current Price Points: $250/$285) – Same reason around why I don’t have a Teflar bag yet goes for Brandon Blackwood as well. I have definitely been keeping my eyes open for the perfect on and I think I finally landed on these two! As of right now I am definitely leaning towards the denim because I think it is so different and would stand out in my collection.
• Hanifa Cora Set (Current Price Point: $239) – I LOVE HANIFA! I bought this dress during our honeymoon and feel in love as soon as it came in (I’m waiting on the right moment to pull her out). When I saw the Cora Set I immediately felt like I needed it! I love that it’s so different, one of my absolute favorite color combinations, and you can also wear each piece separately.
• Hanifa Zoe Boot (Current Price Point: $659) – I am not truly a boots girl – I told y’all my calves are a problem so I try to stay away to spare my feelings – but these are some badass boots! I’m holding off only because 1) I feel like Texas is way too hot for these and 2) I don’t know what size I would be and Hanifa is only doing store credit and exchanges on this boot. Definitely going to wait and hear some reviews before making a final decision.

LOUIS VUITTON

I am a Louie girl through and through! Most definitely the first luxury brand that I fell in love with as a little girl and I love any LV item that I currently own. These are the top 5 items that I am currently keeping my eye on for next year:

• LV Initiales 30mm Reversible (Current Price Point: $565) – Love my Gucci belts so much so I would love to build out my belt collection and thought that this would be a great edition especially since it’s reversible! Who doesn’t love a two in one!
• LV Passport Cover (Current Price Point: $365) – David and I have a goal to get out the country and travel more, so he actually is the one that pointed out these LV passport covers to me (linking the option that David wants here also want to get our initials hot stamped as well). Definitely have always dreamed of expanding my travel essentials and having LV luggage one day so this will be the first step!
• Monogram Empreinte Bumbag (Current Price Point: $2,120) – Y’all! To know me is to know I wear my bumbag OUT! The fact that I love all things black and I love this bumbag I have been obsessed that LV mixed both in one. I don’t know when, how, and where I can get this bag but mark my days one day it will be mine.
• Keepall Bandouliere 55 (Current Price Point: $2,360) – My dream since I was a little girl was to always have a LV Duffle Bag. I think it looks so chic when traveling, but it is definitely an investment piece! I have always gone back and forth about which style to get, but lately I have been feeling the black leather with silver hardware. After much research I’ve heard that it does better as far as wearing is concerned and since this is technically a men’s piece David and I could always share if we travel individually or even together. I recently held it in the store and realized it looks way too huge in my frame. Need to go back to hold the 45 size since they do not have a 50, but if the 45 is too small I may have to rethink my game plan on this beauty.
• Card Holder Recto Verso (Current Price Point: $590) – I feel like this card holder is everything I need! I hate taking my entire purse when I go to the store or the gym so I love that I can just have a few cards, two spots for any cash and even a clip for my keys. What more do you really need when running a quick errand?! THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED!
• Multi Pochette Accessoires (Current Price Point: $2,360) – I am so upset at myself for not getting this when it first drop, but I had literally just purchased my bumbag a week prior. I love everything about this bag especially the fact that both strap options are pink and green! This bag is so versatile and definitely at the top of my list for 2022!

GUCCI (All images are clickable)

Gucci is definitely a close 2nd to LV for me and I love that they have more affordable options than most luxury retailers. I only have my eye on a few items that I feel in love with over the past few years:

• Dionysus GG Supreme Mini Bag (Current Price Point: $2,100) – It’s ridiculous at this point how many times I’ve gone in Gucci and tried this bag on. I can’t make up my mind which size I would want to get, but when I do this will definitely be in the collection one day no questions asked.
• Women’s Original GG Slide Sandal (Beige Option & Denim Option; Current Price Point: $650) – I’ve loved these since the first time I laid eyes on them, but lately I have heard a lot of mix reviews on them! I’ve heard that they have given some people blisters (concern for me since I have wide feet) and I have also heard that they are very heavy for daily use. So I went to the Galleria to try them on myself and they are in fact pretty heavy and in my opinion they’re truly not comfortable for the price point. Probably won’t make it to my collection anymore, but definitely wanted to include them if anyone was interested!

COLLECTIVE HAUL (Prada and Fendi items are not clickable images, but links are below)

Now for all of my honorable mentions! I am on the fence about many of these pieces, but I at least wanted to give them a little shout-out. We shall see which one of these lovely pieces I (or my amazing husband) pick up in 2022. Here are my thoughts on all of the items I selected:

• Bottega Veneta Stretch Heels (Current Price Point: $1,020) – Every time I see someone on IG in these I fall in love! I am very particular about my shoes, like I mentioned ya girl got wide feet, so need to take a trip to try these on as well to see if they are truly worth it.
• Dior Saddle Pouch (Current Price Point: $2,150) – I love this slick and simple design from Dior. I don’t own anything from the brand, but I know that they can be a bit on the pricey side. Curious to see if this would be too small for my phone and other essential items, but put it on my shoulder a few times and definitely can see myself with it!
• Hermes Constance Belt Buckle & Reversible Leather Strap (Current Price Point: $930) – Like I said before I’m trying to build up my belt collection and I feel like it’s a given that I have to get a Hermes belt. Not a fan of the price point, but still think that I may have to eventually take one for the team. My name is officially changed so you already know the H is for Hooey!
• Prada Monolith Boots (Current Price Point: $1,450) – I have been eyeing these boots for quite some time. It looks like combat boots are for sure making a comeback and I love that this Prada boot is a true statement. I need to go inside the Prada store to try them on and see how they feel in order to make up my mind if they are truly for me or not (plus I have my eye on some bags too).
• Jacquemus Le Grande Chiquito (Current Price Point: $730) – I’ve seen this over and over again on YouTube over the years and I’m starting to think the style is growing on me. I can’t decide between the white and dark brown, but let me know your opinion of the best color option down below in the comments.
• Jacquemus Le Grande Bambino (Current Price Point: $640) – I love this simple and sophisticated Jacquemus style that this bag gives off. I think the price point is great and I’m in love with the khaki color or white.
• Fendi First Small Bag (Current Price Point: $2,950) – Love at first sight with this beautiful piece of art! When I first saw it from HighLowLuxxe on YouTube even David stopped and was like “wow that’s a really nice bag!” Honestly the price point is way too high for my pockets so probably will be admiring it from afar for quiet sometime lol.
• YSL LouLou Small Matelasse “Y” Leather (Current Price Point: $2,090) – Another bag that I have been watching out for this year. I wore my first ever YSL bag to death and would love to add another to my collection and think this one just might be it!
• Balenciaga Hourglass Small Top Handle Bag (Current Price Point: $2,290) – This is another in bag that has been all over the gram and I’m fall more and more in love with the style! Again I saw it in another color than the one pictured below (it was tan/taupe color with a gold B, but still in the smooth leather). But I absolutely love this denim look! I don’t have a denim bag, but if I ever get one this would be the first on my list. Available for pre-order now and will be shipped no later than February 2022.
